Avellana Crafts

I recently delivered more mosaics, kits and button necklaces to this lovely craft shop in Mevagissey. It was badly affected by the floods at the end of last year so it was good to see that the shop was back better than ever thanks to a lot of hard work by Hazel and her daughter Fran. The new display cabinets looked great and the stock was the usual mix of wonderful locally made items.

Godolphin House, Helston

Here's Shirley from the Cornish Magpie setting up her stall at the Godolphin House Food and Craft Fair which is run by the National Trust. Her company represents a wonderful mix of Cornish-made and designed items from textiles, prints, ceramics, foodstuffs (yummy fudge!) and, of course, Artichoke Mosaics. Shirley is holding one of my large birdhouses - vibrant coloured vintage china contrasted against a black grout.
